This painting may be compared with the drawing 'INTERFACE' for its depiction of the sinister.  but here all is painted in an arcadian warmth with a veil of leaves and buds of the Tilia cordata (lime) replacing the hard grid.  The characters are shown with the tools of their trade among a background which is hand drawn in ink, and all is on handmade paper containing leaves.
