The form is the equilateral triangle divided by the equilateral triangle grid.  Unusually, the variation about this picture is in the content only and not the form.  The tonal variation of light to dark in other drawings is replaced by the pleasant to the unpleasant and unusually the variation is not from top of the triangle to the bottom nor from the centre outwards, but asymmetrically from dexter to sinister.
